How to directly download an ISO to a Proxmox VE host for VM creation

Since we get this question a lot, we show how to download an installation ISO directly to your Proxmox VE host so you can quickly setup KVM-based virtual machines. We show Ubuntu and CentOS as examples.

The quick answer, so you can copy and paste, is that you need to download the iso to /var/lib/vz/template/iso and it will then show up in the VM GUI configuration tool.
