In this video, I have tried to include the entire process (except rendering & composition) of creating a single bedroom scene in Blender 2.81.

00:00 Room structure - simple design using default cube
01:45 3d modeling - Modifiers, Object Isolation and Effective use of simple shapes
05:08 Link collection from an external file. (refer article for details)
25:08 Texturing - Materials based on principled BSDF using single image texture and use of node wrangler addon.
37:14 Node wrangler addon shortcut - Crl+shift+T for adding image textures (PBR Maps) to Principled BSDF.
42:53 Adding text with a custom font.
46:10 Area light at the window as a portal
47:43 Simple shape using a plane to introduce shadow in the room
