I've been desperate to buy an R8 since the 2007 launch and when I drove my first one, a V10 Spyder at its international press launch in 2016, that urge ramped up significantly. 2 years later the moons aligned and I finally did!
There will be a lot more content in due course but I thought I'd introduce the car with a video showing how I collected it from Scotland.
It was a bit nerve racking for many reasons. For a start paying such a lot of money to a private seller for a car that you have only really had a brief look at and test drive of is a bit risky though I was duly diligent and with the owner being just the second owner and having bought the car from his local Audi main dealer (Stirling Audi) the risk was minimal.
The 'OY' number plate is typical of a car where the first owner was Audi UK and that is the case with this one. If anyone know what this car was doing in its first year and 3000 miles while owned by Audi then please get in touch.
