Mockup book cover in Affinity Designer / Affinity Photo - perspective tool

There is no perspective tool in Affinity Designer, but when you have Affinity Photo also, you can send the design you are working on to it. In this video I'm working in Designer and I need to place an image on a mock up book cover. I can keep the design mostly vector and just place the image where I want it using the perspective tool in Affinity Photo.

Maybe one day Affinity Designer will get the perspective and warp tools it badly needs. Until then, just treat these two Affinity apps as if they are one app.

I downloaded the template from Free-psd-templates.com. They have other templates available too. I did do some adjustment to the design to make it better. You could use it as is and only place your images on to as you wish.
