Patman Kereselidze, one of the last remaining carpet restorers in Tbilisi, will take us on a tour through the wildly various features, motifs, and symbols of different countries, regions, and communities. She will also bring along some of her favourite examples of kilims and rugs from her shop in Orbeliani. This promises to be a fascinating journey through the history of kilims and an absolute must-see for anyone with an interest in textiles.

Patman has been working in the carpet business as a restorer, trader, and buyer for the last 30 years. During that time, she has travelled all over the Caucasus and Middle East to research the practices of textile manufacturing in different countries. From her shop in Orbeliani, she restores and sells remarkable pieces from Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Iran, and beyond.
