After Doom [Doom II] UV-Max in 22:57 w/ Smooth Doom mod

// Map Description //

"After Doom" is a single level WAD for Doom II originally released in 2015, with an update in 2018. It is meant to be played with a (G)ZDoom port. The WAD was created by 00_Zombie_00 and is a reinterpretation of Doom's E1M8 - Phobos Anomaly, specifically, what would happen and where do you end up if you survived the death trap?

The level is very, very Hellish, perhaps one of the best Hell themes I have seen in a while, and the PSX Doom music tracks are absolutely fitting here. The author puts in custom monsters to great effect, especially the flying fiery demons (the "Fallen" I think they're called) and the final boss, which is also seen in Insanity's Edge. Speaking of bosses, there are five to be fought - a Spiderdemon and Cyberdemon guarding the yellow and red keys respectively, the aforementioned exit guardian, an easter egg boss from Wolfenstein, and an immortal Revenant-like enemy that occupies with what I presume to be the secret exit.

A few errors on my part here and there, but considering the length of this map, I'd say I did it in pretty good time. Note that I took the more secretive exit here, which is essentially an inescapable slime pit that can only be accessed by getting into the blue key area. The damaging floor mimics the original E1M8 obviously, and forces the player to exit once their health reaches 10% or lower. Thankfully the other occupant of the pit doesn't count towards the end total.
