I contacted tech support through the Satechi website and they got back to me via email within 24 hours. They basically offered to send me a replacement right away. Pro tip, in order to get a replacement, tech support told me you have to send them "Images of the defective unit and video confirming the issue". So basically make a video exactly the way I did and send them a link. They should send you a replacement no problem. Good luck.
