RC 1/10th scale Lawn Trimmer - whats under the shell.

Short demo of my RC 1/10 Short Course Truck - trimming the front lawn..which gets cut so often lately there's very little grass to cut...but you get the idea.

Chassis is a Losi Strike Short Course Truck 1/10th scale.

- Brush less 810kv Drive motor.
Wiring reversed so that 'reverse' is forward. Used Hobby King motor, esc and programming card to limit the 'reverse' to %50. Makes for slower more controllable forward driving.

Trimmer motors are Hobby King 'Donkey' ST3511-810kv , Zip ties are just passed thru the ends of the prop adapter. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=40269

I initially used trimmer line zip tied to the prop adapter but the Zip ties have just as much life as the trimmer line plus its really easy to cut the old one of when its worn and 'zip' a new one on.

- Battery
2 cell LiPo 5000mAh

- Wiring loom
XT60 customized Y adapters , running all three ESC's off the one Battery.
this gives ample run time to do at least my lawn and my neighbors.

- RC gear.
3 Ch Hobby King GT2B ; Forward/Reverse, Steering and On/Off for trimmer motors

- Body
Ford F-350 Truck 1/8 scale i think ? with the rear tray cut shorter to fit the shorter frame.

- Suspension
Heavier electrical components and the kinda heavy body meant that it rode to low.
Two zip ties were put around each shock tower to compress the springs.

A mega budget build using mostly stuff i already had....it beats the hell out of trying to mow the lawn from my wheelchair with the petrol whipper snipper i had been using.
