This video is applicable to models Vespa GTS 125, Vespa GTS 200, Vespa GTS 250 and Vespa GTS 300.
You can follow this same procedure for how to change the battery on a modern Vespa. On other Piaggio Models the battery may be behind the seat but the same principles apply here.

Disconnect Vespa battery in this exact order;
Negative cable first [-]
Positive cable next [+]

Connect Vespa battery in this exact order;
Positive cable first [+]
Negative cable next [-]
