How to develop your own Skynode application

In this video we will show you how to build your own Skynode application using the Auterion developer tools. We’ll also show you how to install the app on your Skynode and monitor its execution.

A Skynode application consists of a set of Docker containers that can interact with each other, the flight controller, and the operating system running on Skynode’s mission computer.

The application we will build today is one of the examples available from the Auterion developer tools. It’s a simple app called "get telemetry" developed in C++ using MAVLink to get telemetry data from the flight controller. This application is composed of only one Docker container. However, in the documentation you can find other examples that use multiple Docker containers.
