Putting 8 String Gauge Strings on a 7 String Guitar

Guitar has a messed up neck, notes in certain areas won’t sustain, upping the string gauge by a ton was my last resort, wanted to see what it would feel like. Feels great, lot of tension tuned to standard G. Guitar still doesn’t sound great but it stays in tune much better than before! Tried to get it up to standard B but the strings were definitely about to snap, even standard A (I used 74-13 gauge, didn’t use the 10) don’t ask me wtf that riff was lol
