A group of 13 school students set off on a journey of a lifetime. The British Schools Exploring Society is a world class youth development charity, founded in 1932. Young people between 16 and 25 years of age are given the opportunity to take part in environmental research across the globe. This year - an expedition to the frozen Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard which promises adventure in a beautiful yet unforgiving environment.

#svalbard is home to a number of international research stations. Scientists from all around the world study the flora and fauna, the geology and glaciology and the changing environment of one of the harshest climates on the planet – the Arctic circle.
