Newt Scamander arrives in 1920s New York — a British magizoologist with a battered suitcase that hides an entire world of rare magical creatures inside. His brief stop in America quickly turns into a series of dangerous incidents: several beasts escape, the magical community of MACUSA tries to conceal traces of magic from ordinary people, and fear grows in the city because of a destructive force whose origin no one can explain. Together with former Auror Tina Goldstein, her sister Queenie, and baker Jacob Kowalski, who is accidentally drawn into the events, Newt tries to recover his creatures before fear, fanaticism, and secret intrigue lead to catastrophe. This spin-off of the Harry Potter wizarding universe moves the action into the past and opens a new chapter of the magical world, where wonders exist beside danger and kindness toward the most unusual creatures becomes a true strength.
