La Caleta - Tenerife Town Tour

La Caleta is a little fishing village and small harbour on the south coast of Tenerife. It's been a very popular area for visitors for years but since the early 2000s, it's been growing in popularity and in size and you could almost say that La Caleta and Adeje Golf are becoming one and the same regarding areas.
La Caleta still retains much of its charm from the fishing village days but with some modern buildings in the area and large luxurious villas working their way up the hills looking over the Costa Adeje golf course and out to sea.
There are plenty of nice restaurants, bars and cafes here in La Caleta but not much in the way of shopping centres and banks, although as I write this, I understand that there's going to be a shopping centre built on the land in front of the Oasis La Caleta complex.
Being on the small side, there's not much in the way of beaches, but there's the sandy beach situated on the outskirts of La Caleta on the way to the H10 Costa Adeje Gran and the Sheraton Hotel, where the parascenders land and that's only a short from the village itself.
