Описание

Gravitational acceleration can be included in a static analysis, but it may be a bit confusing for new users since parts should not move or accelerate in a static analysis. In this video, we will discuss different types of inertial loads like acceleration, rotational velocity, rotational acceleration, and gravity, as well as what inputs are needed for their definition in a static analysis. We will focus on defining proper material properties, as this is essential for carrying out a finite element analysis, keeping in mind inertial loads. We will discuss some inertial loads that may need to be interpreted in the context of a moving reference frame and see how the equation of motion varies for static and dynamic analysis. We will do this via a short lecture and a walkthrough example using Ansys Mechanical.
