I learned a thing, so I'm sharing said thing. Hope that this helps you set up Dynamic tokens that were released with the Foundry VTT D&D version 3 update. I THINK (but don't quote me) this will be more available in V12 and will be innately in Foundry. (But I've been wrong before)

This video uses Tokenizer A LOT. It's one of the best modules to quickly make circle tokens for your game. Here's the link: https://foundryvtt.com/packages/vtta-tokenizer/

I mention Gimp, Adobe and Affinity a lot. If you're wondering I have paid for and use Affinity for work, (which is a one time fee). I'm sorry I don't have a better tutorial for Gimp, but I hope showing how to do it in Tokenizer makes up for it!
