During the American Revolution, on the night of December 16, 1773, to protest British taxes on their tea monopoly, a group of 100+ patriots destroyed tons of tea, by tossing it into the harbor. This was the Boston Tea Party.

At the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, kids step aboard a replica ship, hoist heavy tea chests up and down, toss tea chests into the water over and over, and see enactments by live actors of dramatic events.
