Join Wella educator, Julie Lapite, for this wet balayage tutorial. Wet balayage is the perfect introduction to coloring services for virgin hair as it offers soft, natural-looking results. It’s also a great refresh service to lighten and brighten tired looking balayage. Follow this tutorial and try it out for yourself!
Step 1: ROOT GLAZE
Shadow the root area close to the natural shade using Shinefinity Glaze 07/31 + bowl and brush activator for zero lift, zero damage, and a low commitment shadow. Be sure not to oversaturate during the dry application stage.
Step 2: LIGHTEN
Dampen the lengths and ends of the hair with Color Motion+ Pre-Color Treatment (or water).
Take diagonal zig zag sections and saturate the ends with Blondor Multi-Blonde Powder + 6%. Feather the lightener to just below the Shinefinity application. Dampen the hair throughout for seamless blending.
Continue with diagonal zig zags behind the fringe area, lightening more around the hairline and face.
Finish with Shinefinity at the top for a natural-looking veil over the balayage pieces. Leave to develop for up to 50 minutes.
Step 3: CARE
Rinse the hair before applying Color Motion+ Shampoo and Blondor Seal & Care.
Step 4: GLAZE
Apply a hair glaze using Shinefinity Glaze 08/38 and 30g bottle activator. Leave to develop for up to 20 minutes before rinsing. Style and finish the look with EIMI Glam Mist.

Hair glaze: Shinefinity Glaze 08/38 and 30g bottle activator
