Brilliant band from Boston.
Who managed to write great pop melodies in their rock based music in an era of Punk.

This is a great sounding bootleg
The story about the recording here:
The story of this one is (as I know it) in the mid to late 70's and early 80's there was a nightclub in Schaumburg Il known as B'Ginnings. It was partially owned by Danny Seraphine, former drummer for the group Chicago. From time to time they would have either up and coming bands or even the occasional big star (Bob Seger, John Cougar, Talking Heads, Rush, Chicago, Billy Joel and many more). The shows at this club would be recorded using multitrack equipment and then mixed down to stereo for broadcast on WXRT-FM. The tapes, however, were also mixed to quad by an engineer for his own personal consumption. This is one of those tapes. It wasnt transfered to digital until around 2005 or so - so it might be a bit crunchy sounding to some. It is definitely a great show (though only about 45 minutes) and it's definitely discrete quad. Trust me on this one! I have extracted to stereo for this upload. While this is obviously a 1978 show I have not been able to find a date, so after studying the dates I have collected over the years it seems July is likely.
Enjoy the show….
