In this GDevelop Tutorial we look at how we can manually build our GDevelop games into APK or AAB with the help of Cordova and Android Studio! In this alternative method to the official build procedure in the documentation, we discover how we can use Cordova to prepare our GDevelop projects to be opened in Android Studio, where we then simply compile and build our game into either an APK for testing or an app bundle for release to the Google Play Store. This way the whole build process and the setup to make the build process possible is a lot more beginner friendly, without needing to download the JDK or Gradle, or change our environment or path variables. Later, if you decide you would like to build your entire project from the command line with Cordova instead of opening up Android Studio to make the build, then the steps we take in this tutorial have you halfway there already!
