What is a LUT or a look up table? A LUT is a colour correction tool, a mathematical formula that makes up the difference between your source footage and your desired outcome. In this tutorial I will show you how to install custom LUT s in Final Cut Pro X 10.3. LUTs are used to color correct or color grade your video footage. Natively, Final Cut Pro will not let you install custom LUTs, so you have to download a plugin. The one I recommend is the LUT Loader plugin from Pixel Film Studios. I will show you the step by step installation instructions, and how to load custom .cube LUT files.
