Flip-Dot Clock / Display

This flip-dot display is controlled using an Arduino via custom made controller boards. The controller boards include:
- 74HC595 shift registers
- NPN transistor arrays (ULN2003A)
- PNP transistors (BC327)
- 1kohm base resistors for the PNP transistors (current limiting resistors)

This flip-dot display is mainly used as a clock, but it can also be used to display text or images/animations streamed over serial.

The modes that this display currently supports are:
1. Clock Mode: 12-hr / 24-hr time, date, year
2. Text Mode (streamed from a PC over serial)
3. Image / Animation Mode (streamed from a PC over serial)
4. Random Mode
5. Demo Mode: Displays a few test patterns
6. ASCII Mode: Displays all the supported ASCII characters

Time is kept using a TinyRTC module
