Claudia Muzio undoubtedly had one of the most beautiful timbres among sopranos of her (and any) generation, and to that gorgeous sound she added an extremely touching vocal expressivity and a charming way with words, a superb legato and an intelligent use of dynamic nuances in her singing. Here I present, in very improved sound, two of her best recordings of classical songs:
1) her unsurpassed "Ombra di nube", by Licinio Refice, allegedly written for her (and it does fit her voice and temperament perfectly!);

2) "Se tu m'ami", by Alessandro Parisotti, formerly attributed to Pergolesi, in a very delicate and witty interpretation.
