SCL compiler considers 2 types:

Functions with function value or Return Value
Functions without function value

in LAD/STL/FBD editor, there is the minimum problem because you have visual structure of fuction and just fill the area with addresses and data types required.Contrary to this in SCL,programmer should do more without minimum help from editor.First, proper addresses and symbols should be selected,function to be check if returns a value and finally call it as its structure suggests.To find out if function returns a value both possible if the source of function is available or only compiled version is in blocks folder.
