Today’s walk takes us through Myeongdong, Seoul, beautifully dressed for Christmas on a cold winter evening. 🎄✨
As the sun slowly sets, rain and snow begin to fall together, wrapping the city in a soft, dreamlike atmosphere. The glowing Christmas lights reflect off the wet streets, creating a magical and almost cinematic winter scene.

Despite the dropping temperatures, Saturday evening energy fills the streets.
Locals and travelers gather around Cheonggyecheon and Myeongdong, enjoying the final weekends of the year. Laughter, music, and warm conversations echo through the streets, while many international visitors stop to capture photos and videos, preserving their winter memories in Seoul. 📸🌨️

Walking through the illuminated streets, you can feel the spirit of the holidays —
a mix of excitement, nostalgia, and quiet warmth, even in the cold air. This is Seoul at the end of the year: vibrant, emotional, and beautifully alive.

🚔🚨 To fly a drone legally in Korea, you must first register your drone with the Korea Office of Civil Aviation (KOCA), even if it’s under 250g.

Also, you need to apply for flight permission in advance for each location through the official UOM (UAS Operation Management) system. Most areas in Seoul are restricted or controlled airspace, and flying without permission can lead to a fine of at least 1.6 million KRW (~$1,200 USD).

Historic sites like Gyeongbokgung or national parks are extremely difficult to get approval for, and flying without permission in those places is strictly prohibited.
