In this clip we #compare the sound of the custom „Bolz“ virtual amp (amp sim / #VST plugin) of Gain Stage (https://www.gain-stage.com) with the real amp head / boost pedal setup. the virtual amp It is modeled after a 2010 spec #Mesa Boogie Triple #Rectifier with the following custom boost pedal chain:

For the Modern Channel a MXR M77 overdrive was used in conjunction with a Lichtlaerm Audio (a small boutique company from Germany) boost prototype to boost the recto even more and to keep the gain structure really tight.

Fort the Vintage Channel a DOD juicebox (an old ts-style pedal) was used to boost the amp to get that classic overdrive sound.

Channel 2/3 of the amp simulation can be used with or without the boost function.

The riffs played in the intro mix are from the song „Redneck Nights“ by the guitarists Band „The Italian Way“. This Song will be featured in the upcoming EP, so check it out!
