Man Bun Braid Number 1: The Low Side Braid Man Bun
The Low side braid man bun is a combination of a lowered man bun with a double braid on one side of the head and a singular braid on the other. Sleek in style, the man bun braid can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion and is fairly straightforward to pull off once you know how to braid your own hair.

Man Bun Braid Number 2: The Tri Braid Man Bun
The Tri Braid Man Bun is an interesting look that features 2 braids on each side of the head and one braid on the top of the head. The unique thing about this man bun braid style is the braids are only joined to the head until they reach the back of the ear before transitioning into a plat. This creates an interesting effect in the actual bun when it’s secured by intertwining the plats and the regular hair together.


Man Bun Braid Number 3: The Top Braid Man Bun
Simple but interesting, The Top Braid Man Bun consists of one singular braid on the top of the head accompanied with a full man bun. Depending on how detailed the braid is, this man bun braid style is quite subtle and adds subtle character.

Man Bun Braid Number 4: The Double Side Braided Man Bun
The Double Side Braided Man Bun is another interesting yet simple man bun braid style. Like the The Low Side Braid Man Bun, the braids on this hairstyle also finish just behind the ear before transitioning into a plat. To add more detail to the hairstyle, Thomas wrapped each plat around the bun for an intricate finish.

Man Bun Braid Number 5: The Hairline Man Bun Braid
Insecure about your hairline? This man bun braid style is the one for you. If you are familiar with my content, you’ll know I poke a bit of fun at my own crooked hairline. When I created this hairstyle I wanted to create a style that had an interesting look but could also serve a purpose.

Don’t get me wrong, hiding your flaws due to shame isn’t something I want to promote, however, it pays to have options!

The Hairline Man Bun Braid is one of the more intricate man bun braid styles that Thomas has come up with and takes a lot of practice as the braiding technique used to create this hairstyle is what you would call “inverted”. This means instead of braiding from your hairline backwards, you need braid it the other way around which makes this man bun style a little more difficult to pull off.
