Rest in peace, Rick May. You brought to life one of my favorite, and one of the funniest, video game characters ever.

This is a showcase of Valve's tasteful memorial to Rick May, who passed away on April 13, 2020 due to Coronavirus. The tribute includes a new song (gamestartup_soldier/"Saluting the Fallen"), a pop-up message seen by all players when starting the game, and a Soldier statue on various maps dedicated to Mr. May that also reads out some of his uplifting dialogue.
