We use the Jolly Phonics method, it is a delightful and kid-friendly synthetic phonics approach to teaching literacy. The multi-sensory method is particularly stimulating for preschoolers and kindergartners because of the movements taught for each of the 42 letter sounds. The sounds are taught in a specific order (not alphabetically). This enables children to begin building words as early as possible.
The letter sounds are divided into seven groups., and taught in this order:
