I put about a heaped teaspoon of PLAIN yogurt. in a jar lid, Then I add a couple tablespoons of warm water. I then sprinkle on about a tablespoon of chick starter feed. The starter absorbs the water and yogurt and the chicks peck at it and love it. This gets the chicks off to a healthy start by putting good bacteria in their tummy. If raised by a hen, they would get this bacteria from pecking at their momma's poo. YUCK! But, nature knows best. I always give my new baby chicks this secret recipe about 2 times a day for the first week. They love it and look forward to it. Try it and see for yourself.
