Game Dev Tycoon is a business simulation video game developed by Greenheart Games, which first released on 10 December 2012. In the game, the player creates and develops video games.


I will start out in a garage in the early 1980s during the golden age of arcade video games with no employees, limited money, and limited choices. As I create new games, new options will be unlocked. When I am able to build the first game engine, my game development skills improve. New consoles will also be released, and I will be able to buy licenses for certain consoles.
