If you need to create a large array of repeated features - either cuts or extrudes - in an area then instead of doing them all individually, or using sketch patterns, you can save yourself a lot of trouble and just create one feature and use the Fill Pattern command to fill an area with many perfectly spaced instances of your initial feature. Easy!
