The latest release of Adobe Premiere Pro (CC 2020) finally works with HDR content. I did some investigation to figure out how to set up HDR in Adobe Premiere and After Effects, and how to do color management in each to get the best HDR results. In this video demo, I'll walk you through some of the more interesting quirks of trying to get your footage to work in HDR, including how Premiere treats AVC/H.264, HEVC/H.265, and ProRes footage differently in the timeline, as well as an HDR color management and grading tutorial for Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2020.

OCTOBER 2021 UPDATE:
Adobe has fixed the issues with H264 and HEVC imports, and now allows all assets (MP4 & MOV) to be tagged with the correct color space in the bin. There are no longer any color differences between the ProRes and HEVC versions of content, and I've removed the HLG LUTs from the LUT pack that were originally supposed to workaround the issue.
