How to remove and replace the rear parcel shelf of a Saab 9-3 03on saloon.
You need to remove the parcel shelf to get access to:
~ rear shelf speakers
~ C pillar trim removal
~ Radio aerial
~ Rear seatbelt reels

Some additional information that has come to me since uploading:

If you're looking for a replacement shelf for your 9-3SS, be aware the design of the shelf changed slightly for '07 model year and the following applies:
Later (07on) shelfs will fit all saloons
Earlier (06 back) shelfs will fit all saloons BUT on 07on cars you will need to cut the support hoops off the steel panel (x3).
The plastic mouldings (speaker grilles and rear vent) ARE NOT interchangeable between the two design levels. The later speaker grilles became handed and the vent grille was split into two pieces.
This became evident to me when I obtained a spare shelf and mod'd it by leather covering it to match the seats.
