[Synopsis]

In this video, I test my Fanxiang S500 Pro 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD on my ASUS Prime H470M-PLUS motherboard on a PCI-Express 3.0 x 16 (3.0 x 4) slot with a PCI-Express M.2 NVMe SSD Adapter and Teucer M.2 Heatsink Cooler.

I show you how to put everything together, and I install it in my computer. I activate the M.2 NVMe by partitioning the storage device, and format it to usable. Then, I do three tests on it with CrystalDiskMark to get the average read and write speed. After the test, I get a reading of the temperature with CrystalDiskInfo.

I had bought Fanxiang products in the past, and so far I didn't have any problems with them. I bought a 2.5" sata SSD, and a M.2 NVMe 500 GB SSD. This is why I bought two extra Fanxiang S500 Pro 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSDs.

I will be using my M.2 NVMe SSD to run the latest games and other programs. For example, Cyberpunk 2077 takes about 70 GB or 70,000 MB of space, and I want a storage device that can load up programs as fast as ROM cartridge was able to do in the 1980s. Back in the 1980s, it took a couple of seconds to load games from a Atari 2600, NES, SMS, or Sega Genesis cartridge. For a floppy disk to load a program, it would read data at about 100 kb/s to 250 kb/s (12.5 kB/s to 31.25 kB/s). It would take about 11.5 seconds to 28.8 seconds read a entire floppy disk and load it into memory.

If I wanted to load a program that was let's say 25 GB into RAM with a HDD, it would take me 3 minutes and 57.6 seconds @ 105 MB/second. If I used a M.2 sata SSD, it would take me about 50 seconds, and if I used a M.2 NVMe SSD like this one, it would take me about 7.35 seconds. You can see the difference in the time it takes to access the data from the storage device, and load it into memory. It is almost instantaneous. I have two such M.2 NVMe SSDs installed on two computers with a PCI-e M.2 NVMe adapter, including this one.
