Ozon DRs: Foreced Conversion

Ozon Holdings has basically completed its redomiciliation from Cyprus to Russia and has been renamed to Ozon IPJSC. Its shares are already available on the Moscow Stock Exchange (MOEX).

A key consequence for international shareholders holding Ozon ADRs/GDRs through foreign brokers is the forced conversion of these depositary receipts into ordinary shares. While ADRs held within the Russian perimeter are converted automatically, those held abroad via foreign brokers require shareholders to submit application and a set of documents.

Forced conversion based on the application of foreign shareholders allows them to apply directly in Russia for DRs to shares conversion when normal channels are blocked.

The forced conversion period is expected to begin on 1 December 2025 and will last 120 days from the official start date. Exact date to be announced officially very soon. 30 March 2026 is expected deadline.
