iOS 10.3 B2 - How to Open DMG on Windows (Fix No MAC HFS Volume)
Описание
Some of you reported back to me that you are not able to open the ROOT File System DMG of the iOS 10.3 Beta 2 on Windows using TransMAC or PowerISO, so I decided to inspect what's Windows' issue with the new Apple Format introduced in iOS 10.3 Beta.
In the video I will show you what you did wrong and the fact that, you can, in fact open iOS 10.3 Beta DMG file on Windows using TransMAC with no problem.
The error some people were getting is "No MAC HFS Volume Found". This is a very common error when instead of using the correct ROOT FS you open one of the two Ramdisks (that are considerably smaller). The ramdisks of iOS 10 are still compressed (not encrypted) that's why you can't open them, but you don't need to deal with them anyways.
WARNING: Upon testing, x64 partitions are different. Apple used a new file system format ONLY on the x64 devices. This will require TransMAC to be updated. Previously working tools now need update. 32-Bit devices aren't affected, so if you get No HFS volume found on 32-Bit DMG you selected the wrong file.
We are working on finding a method to open the new format on Windows. For the moment all tools existing support the old 20 years old HFS+ format.
