有一次我和表姐去地里找兔子草，看到倒在地上的魔芋树，我以为是蛇，吓得一路哭着跑回来！晚上做了一整夜噩梦！第二天外婆把魔芋树连根挖了回来，才知道这么恐怖的植物还可以做白白嫩嫩的魔芋！后来我每次吃到魔芋都会想到外婆，想到第一次吃魔芋的那个味道！

One day, on our way to the fields for rabbit grass, my cousin and I saw a konjac plant falling on the ground. Thinking it was a snake, I was so scared that I ran away in tears. I kept having nightmares that whole night. The next day, maternal grandma dug out the konjac corm. I didn’t know that white and tender konjac tofu is made from such a horrible plant. Afterwards, each time I eat konjac, I’ll think of my maternal grandma and what it was like the first time I ate konjac.
