The opening number from Tim Burton's 1993 dark animated musical film The Nightmare Before Christmas, This Is Halloween has become an enduring seasonal classic. Like the rest of the film's score, the song was composed by Danny Elfman, who also provided the singing voice for the character of Jack Skellington.
