2013 Mercedes-Benz W176 A-class FBS3 ESL replacement with EM001

Hello, friends!

Today I am going to show you how to perform ESL replacement with the EM001 emulator on a 2013 Mercedes-Benz W176 A-class. The EM001 is installed in the vehicle which allows it to start when the ESL is faulty. It saves a lot of time, effort and resources for exchanging the Electronic Steering Lock altogether.

First, you need to locate the ESL connector, which can be reached by removing the plastic cover above the pedals. After that, you need to make sure you have the EZS key password. When you do have it, save the FBS and coding data. It is very important that you do so, you will need it when installing the emulator. Follow the on-screen instructions and you will be fine.
The procedure is the same for the following models:
A-class W176
B-class W246
CLA W117
GLA X156
