0:00 - Creating and Altering Selections
When using most selection tools in Photoshop, there will be 4 modes to choose from. These are available as buttons within the Options bar and can also be accessed by holding down particular keys.

The four selection modes are...
- New
- Add to selection (Shift)
- Subtract from selection (Alt/Option)
- Intersect with selection (Shift + Alt/Option)

An active selection can be altered by holding down one of the above mentioned key(s) while creating a second selection.

Different selection tools can be used to alter an active selection. For example, a selection created with the Rectangular Marquee Tool can be altered using the Lasso Tool.
