My Ultimate ARC Browser Configuration with 3D Covers, 25 Consoles and Full Rom Collections
Описание
Hello guys!
I just made a showcase video to illustrate you my personal configuration of the ARC Browser frontend for Android devices (I used my Mad Catz M.O.J.O. console).
I fiddled around for about two weeks with ARC Browser dynamics/assets to achieve the result you are watching in this video. I launched those games pretty much randomly because my goal was only to give you a general idea of how well RetroArch and ARC Browser ecosystems can co-operate togheter. The main focus was to recreate the most accurate old-school retrogaming feeling thanks to LCD/CTR shaders and other visual effects/filters available in RetroArch, followed by some great console-themed overlays partially customized by me in order to perfectly fit the 1080p TV screen resolution. The majority of scraped games have been taken from No-Intro Rom sets, except for PlayStation, PSP, DS and Dreamcast titles.
Main features:
• 25 consoles covered (Atari Jaguar emulation is still horrible on RetroArch, so I decided to only scrape the games just for completion)
• Fully loaded (almost every console has its own Rom-Set, except obviously for PlayStation, Dreamcast, DS and PSP)
• 3D Box Artwork style for each game of the collection (I disabled the automatic artwork downloading and I directly used the HyperSpin 3D cover packs)
• Customized overlays and grid-icons for all the consoles
• Old-school visual fidelity (filters, shaders and overlays have been combined togheter to recreate the definitive nostalgic gaming experience)
• In answer to some of you who were worried about the general performance of the UI with so many games to load, in the last part of my video I decided to test a bit the general smoothness and reactivity of ARC Browser by scrolling and moving randomly between the systems... other than some minor cover-rendering stutter during the scrolling of a few game collections, no problem at all! | *STRESS TEST* [37:02] |
Hope you like it!
