This tracker works by SMS, you install GSM card, you touch it with your magnetic key on the top cap to activate its vibration sensor and as soon as it moves or somebody moves it, it sends you a text. You can send a text to its GSM number whereareyou? and it will send you a text which include its location coordinates. You can then enter these coordinates into google map and practically can see where the bicycle is. Battery last up to 3 months.
If no GPS coverage it will rely on GSM coverage. We are going to try all that and see its practical real life usage.

Absolute dead easy to operate this. You just insert GSM card and send texts to it off you go. You may not need to enter complicated APN number that relies on GPRS if you don't want live tracking. You can track by sending text message 'whereareyou' without GPRS. No monthly charge you just pay for the SMS messages.

Don't worry about GSM card, just buy one from Tesco for a £1. Top up £5.00. And it will have enough credit to send you SMS texts.
