Automatic paper baler MAC 102, designed to bale medium-small quantities of waste paper, has been installed in one of the Ahlstrom Group plant set in Europe. The Ahlstrom Group is one of the biggest paper manufacturers in the world. In this facility Macpresse has placed a plant designed to bale and shred bulk production of waste, thanks to MAC 102 baler and a slow shredder. One of the typical challenges in Paper Mills is the huge production of waste, so these facilities have to install a baler with a large feed hopper and an high hourly capacity. But generally they use them just for a few hours a day, as today the Mill waste volume is minimized.
Macpresse plant, instead, allowes an optimization of costs as MAC 102 is equipped with a double shafts shredder that does not produce dust and noise. Due to this system Macpresse has met Ahlstrom requirement: to bale 2 tons of waste paper. Moreover, this facility benefits of:
✔ Low investment in the baling machine
✔ Low electricity consumption
✔ Low labour costs as a single operator is required for the lift truck

- bale size: cm 80 X 80 – 31,5” X 31,5” to optimize land, sea and rail transport
- number of wires: 4
- mix paper production: 4-6 tons/h
- bolted Hardox liners plates on floor
