Mission PCM7000 CD Player - Repairing the loading Tray
Описание
In todays video, we take a look at a Mission PCM7000.
The Mission PCM7000 is a rather nice CD Player, from my collection. I have had an issue with it, since acquiring it some years back. It works, but, the tray needs some persuasion to get it to slide out.
I managed to resolve the issue.
Initially, I thought the sled was out of kilter. However, this was not the case.
The top cover is held on with 5x torx screws. The single rear screw is longer than the other screws located in the side of the unit. Once the cover is removed, to remove the cradle, I removed a single rear screw and washer, and also the three screws holding in the front panel. The front panel tilts forward, and the CD mech can be lifted out for repair. I removed the drive belt, as this had become slack, and reset the mechanism, fully.
A new belt was installed, and the drive was re-installed into the unit. All relevant screws were refitted.
A quick test showed that everything was working well.
Standard safety tips apply, unplug the unit, and, entrust any repairs to a qualified professional, if you are in any doubt.
