When it first opened in June 1973, the Sohari Plant produced two-wheeled vehicles. Then it added three-wheeled vehicles and four-wheeled trucks to its lineup before it finally started producing four-wheeled passenger cars.

The Driving Force for the Growth of Korea's Automotive Industry

The lineup formerly produced in the Sohari Plant, including the Brisa, the Bongo and the Rio, fueled the tandem development of Kia Motors and Korea's auto industry.
