I bought this set when it came out. It sat on the shelf for years, gathering dust, as a lot of Lego sets do. I decided to clean it and build it on camera and share my thoughts on it. The set has become very expensive over the years, but I'm happy that I built it back then so I don't worry too much about the money I wasted.

When the set 9398 came out, Lego held a "You Design It - We Make It!" contest in 2012 on how to improve on the design of the model. Sort of an early edition of the Ideas series we have now. This design won and got turned into a limited edition set. Only 20000 sets were produced world wide.
