The famous Future Beach of Fortaleza, Brazil

It is not possible to visit Fortaleza without experiencing nearby Praia do Futuro. A quick 15 minute drive east through a colorful community you can find a very different vibe than the beaches near centro.

Praia do Futuro is big. The waves, the wind and 20km of beaches as far as you can see. There are a few hotels and a few more kiosks that are scattered down the coast. This "urban" beach seems much more secluded than being next to the giant city of Fortaleza.

I had a great afternoon of people watching at Crocobeach Club. The crowd was very diverse from young to old and of course so many things to purchase from the beach venders.

After a great afternoon fighting the giant surf, I made my way to Iracema Pier to catch another amazing sunset among the locals. The nightlife here is amazing and there is so much great food, music and food I could stay awake all night enjoying.

This video ends my final full day in Fortaleza before I must return to the US. However, I still have a half day to enjoy the local beach near centro. So keep alert for that video soon.
