Dash to Dock Gnome extension - Dual Monitor setup
Описание
3:29 Terminal: Installing Dash to Dock Multi Monitor extension
sudo apt-get install git
git clone https://github.com/micheleg/dash-to-dock.git
cd dash-to-dock/
make
make install
Operating System: Ubuntu Gnome 16.10
Video Capture Program: Simple Screen Recorder (Linux)
Video Editing Program: Camtasia 9 (Windows 10)
Just two days ago I completely switched over to Ubuntu Gnome because I wasn't aware that the Gnome desktop environment (DE) could duplicate the left dock on both screens like the Unity DE
To me it makes all the difference. Having two docks on each screen makes me 2 or even 4 times more productive
That's why at the beginning I was finding it hard to convert to Gnome
I wish if just like Unity, I could see the time and date on both screens (top bar), shut down my system, scroll up or down to raise or lower the volume by hovering over the sound icon, etc. But let's wait for Ubuntu Gnome 17.10 and 18.04 when Canonical backs up Gnome officially
I really hope that Michele_G (developer of Dash to Dock extension) and Franglais125 do get the gratitude and funding they deserve. Because this Gnome extension really is a practical one
