Through testimonies and live performances, this film reviews three decades of the evolution of Jazz in which Marcus plays a critical part. A history showing a remarkable humanity, a knowledge for and a rare appreciation of the history of music, African American music roots, his childhood Gospel at church, the orchestral funk of his last album and also his new relation to African music.
